Caleb Austin was born at 12:30pm on 26 Jan. He weighed 7lb 9oz and was 20.5 in long. After several hours of contractions his heart rate began to drop drastically during each contraction - even stopping for a second at times. At 12:15pm the doctor made the decision to perform a c-section. It's never preferred and we were definitely nervous, but without a doubt we know that God is always in control and He alone created the ability that these doctors have to see a new life enter into this world. Not long after the decision was made we met our healthy son. Turns out the umbilical cord had wrapped around his neck. Now we are recovering and getting to know this little new life.
